a) Summarize your own current beliefs and viewpoints with respect to religion; you may include such things as your particular faith profession, or the absence of any particular faith tradition with respect to yourself; whether there are particular doctrines of viewpoints that have influenced you, and any religions literature that may have influenced you (if this fits your particular viewpoint).

b) Using what you have prepared in part (a), now explain how worldview, culture and religion may interconnect with each other.

c) Choose a certain culture covered in this course and discuss how that culture relates in specific ways to the religion that predominates within it. Provide multiple examples, including how they relate within in a health care treatment environment.

d) Select one religious tradition presented in this course which is different from whatever you wrote about in part (a), identifying beliefs and practices that are characteristic of that religion.

e) Then, identify at least three ways in which you might adjust your care of that person in a health care setting (or other environment, if that pertains to your educational track) in light of the cultural competence you are acquiring via this course (or other studies you have done). In other words, make some preliminary applications.

You may bring into it any of the materials presented in this course (and, if you wish, you may also quote and cite outside resources such as books, journal articles, and media resources featuring professionals and scholars in the field). A concise bibliography should be included at the end of your paper which provides support for the in-text or end-note style footnotes you provide in support of your writing.
