An organization's readiness to utilize best evidence for practice is important. Without the support of senior leadership of the organization and nursing leadership, change can be more challenging than it needs to be. Assessing readiness for the use of evidence-based practice (EBP) allows the advanced practice nurse to better understand how to negotiate change with leadership.
