First Question  250 words

When comparing data in a concurrent type of approach, combine information from both the quantitative and qualitative data collection into a matrix.

The horizontal axis of this matrix could be a quantitative categorical variable and the vertical axis would be the qualitative data. Information in the cells could be either quotes from the qualitative data, counts of the number of codes from the qualitative data, or some combination. In this way, the matrix would present an analysis of the combined qualitative and quantitative data.

There is a growing consensus among evaluation experts that both qualitative and quantitative methods have a place in the performance of effective evaluations. Both formative and summative evaluations are enriched by a mixed methods approach.

Different ways of framing and studying social phenomena yield different kinds of understandings and a researcher might be better served to use one method, but then triangulate the finds with other types of data (Patton, 1990, Creswell, 1995, and Sechrest & Sidami, 1995).

Discuss how methodology triangulation may be useful in your research study (organizational culture change in workplace).

Second question  250 words.

Prejudices are our preconceived notions of things, emanating from our past experience and socialization. Quantitative studies require that the researcher be objective. Some qualitative researchers see the way to eradicate prejudice from their research as maintaining objectivity by bracketing experiences or suspending and setting aside what is known about an experience being studied.

The researcher needs to decide how and in what way their personal experiences will be introduced into the study.

How do you propose a researcher should assure their participants that they will retain confidentiality and also be objective when analyzing their responses to interview questions.
