Incompetent behaviors among healthcare workers threaten the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. Although incompetent behaviors have long been a concern among healthcare workers, they have not been addressed, or even worse, the behavior has been accepted as part of the system. By not addressing these behaviors, organizations silently supported and reinforced them.
