Assignment:

Now that our population is living longer, they are living long enough to develop medical issues that may cause their health to decline to such a degree that they no longer wish to continue living, and would like a physician to assist them to commit suicide by lethal injection. There are a few States that allow for this, and as nurses we may be involved in the discussion of options and the education of the client so it is important that we explore our own opinions and prejudices toward the clients' request.
