Your tasks:
This portfolio consists of task which require you to design and write 2 different complex documents as outlined in each task. Each final document for each task must be saved electronically to clearly support how you have used the word processing and design features of the relevant software programs as instructed for each task.
Task:
In your role as supervisor in your department, the board of directors have agreed to your request to purchase a new dining table and 10 chairs for the staff room. They have allowed an expenditure maximum of $ 6,000.00 and asked for three different quotes with specifications and pictures for each quote obtained.
You are required to research 3 different options with prices, details and photos and collate this information into a report for the next board meeting. The report needs to include an introduction as well as a recommendation for the best option; this does not need to be based on cheapest price but could include ergonomics, quality or similar factors.
a. Your report must be based on the specifications outlined in the style guide and needs to include a bibliography which lists all sources you have used to gather your information.
b. Enable "Track changes" and use the spellchecker to proof read the document. Double check that all margins are correct, the locations of graphics and tables are correct, and the table functions are updated and functional.
c. Save the document as Report_Draft_V1 and email to your trainer for feedback.
d. Discuss feedback with your trainer.
e. Complete final document and incorporate changes from feedback including any gaps identified.
