Assignment:

Construct an argument relating to any of the following:

1. The positive or negative effects of Internet surveillance in the workplace.

2. Whether it is possible or impossible to protect our personal data in cyberspace.

3. Whether hacking can be ethically justifiable.

4.Whether the company itself or an individual employee should be held responsible if an employee makes a mistake that causes harm.

Once you have chosen your topic, include a conclusion and at least four claims/premises. Identify if your argument is valid, invalid, sound, inductive, or normative (to the best of your ability, do not make a fallacious argument to better answer the last portion of this question). By analyzing each claim and the conclusion, clarify why the argument falls into the category that you have identified. Once you have made your argument, imagine you are debating this argument with your friend who is not skilled in debate. Discuss five counterpoints to your argument that your friend might make. Of these five counterpoints, include an example of an argument that is any five of the following: ad hominem, slippery slope, authority fallacy, false cause fallacy, begging the question, fallacy of composition/division, fallacy of ambiguity/equivocation, fallacy of appealing to people, fallacy of many/any, or the virtuality fallacy. Describe briefly how you would refute each point your friend makes.
