Assignment -

This assessment task will check your understanding of the diverse models and theories of knowledge production and evaluation examined in this course. It also assesses your ability to express your understanding in writing and to reflectively engage with your own thinking.

You are required to develop, over the weeks of the course, a Folio of short written pieces that demonstrate your developing understanding of course issues. This Folio must include at least 4 entries each of approximately 300 words in length. You must provide written responses to the texts and ideas encountered through the course.

Each of these entries must include the following three components:

• Bibliographic details for the text/s you are responding to;
• A clear statement as to what you are examining and why,
• Your considered and justified responses to the issues you are examining.

When the last entry has been made, you must add a 500 word report (a 5th entry) reflecting on, with references to the individual entries, the development of your thinking with regards to course issues of knowledge production and evaluation.

Assessment will be based on the clarity, relevance, and coherence of your description of developments in your thinking and attitude.
