You are required to develop a researched briefing note for the CEO of your chosen nonprofit identified for Assessment 3 who is being interviewed on radio.

In your group, decide on one Western Australian or Australian nonprofit organisation for which each member will individually research and develop the briefing note.

Study the nonprofit's website and closely analyse its profile. Get a sense of the organisation's sector (e.g.. housing, disability, aged care, mental health), history, mission statement, values, aims, and governance structure. Make clear notes for yourself so that you understand the organisation's aims and activities thoroughly.

You are a project manager working at this non-profit organisation. The CEO of your organisation, who is new, is scheduled to give an interview on a local radio station to discuss current challenges facing the sector in Western Australia or Australia, your organisation, and the strategies/activities your organisation is taking to address these challenges. Your task is to provide the CEO with a set of researched briefing notes of approximately 1600 words (+ or - 10%) to prepare him or her for the radio interview, including answering potentially difficult questions posed by the radio interviewer.

The briefing notes should enable the CEO to:
Concisely summarise the organisation's sector, history, mission, and current activities
Briefly describe one or more of the challenges currently facing the sector in Western Australia or Australia, and the challenges facing your organisation in particular.

Briefly summarise some of the strategies/activities your nonprofit organisation in taking to address these challenges

Answer at least three challenging questions. This will require you to anticipate some of the questions a radio interviewer might ask the CEO of a nonprofit organisation. (You will need to write both the potential questions from the radio interviewer and the CEO's answers or responses. The questions might be in response to the CEO's summary of the organisation's proposed strategies to address challenges in the sector.)

You should use both bullet points and complete sentences in your briefing notes. You need to include a minimum of five references. which should be in ARM format

These references will enable the CEO to find out anything further about the area if she or he wishes and be a way of referring any radio listeners who ask to further evidence. Keep your notes clear and concise: the CEO will be addressing not just the interviewer, but an audience of radio listeners. Listeners should be able to make clear sense of all the CEO's responses. Ensure that the CEO's responses align with the organisation's values, directions and activities.

Headings could include:

Background (the organisation's sector, history, mission, and current directions)

Context (the challenges currently facing the sector in Western Australia or Australia and facing your nonprofit in particular)
Strategies and directions (the strategies/activities your nonprofit organisation is taking to address these challenges)
Questions and answers (the questions you anticipate the interviewer might ask, and the CEO's responses).
