On January 13, 2023 incident (runway incursion) occurred at JFK International airport in New York involving a Delta 737 and American 777. This week let's take a look at this incident and the causes behind it. Research this accident and briefly describe your findings on what caused it to occur. What can we learn from this event? What are some steps that the industry can take to help prevent this in the future (think what can ATC, pilots, airlines, aircraft manufactures do)?

Secondly, this accident is a perfect opportunity to discuss Crew Resource Management (CRM) and how it has affected flying over the years. Explain what the role of CRM has played in the industry throughout the years. What does CRM mean to you? What makes a good captain and what makes a good first officer? Can CRM be applied to other professional jobs in aviation outside the flight deck? If so, how?
