Yet, Myers and Noebel (2019) in our textbook, Understanding the Times, quote noted atheist Christopher Hitchens as saying, "I would say that if you don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah, and that he rose again from the dead and by his sacrifice our sins are forgiven, you're not really in any meaningful sense a Christian" (p. 37).
