The role of the legislative branch of the federal government. It begins with a discussion of Congress' structure laid out in the Constitution and the structure created by Congress itself. The chapter also covered how a Bill becomes a law. The illustration on page 130 of your textbook provides a good perspective of the law-making process. Why do you think it is so difficult for Congress to pass laws? Do you feel the system of passing laws should be streamlined? Generally speaking, is it better to make laws quickly or slowly? Explain your reasons why you feel it is better to make laws quickly or slowly.
