Discuss conditional probability, independence of events, and the relationship between the two notions. We know that if events A,B are independent then Pr(A ∩ B) = Pr(A)Pr(B). Is it possible that for some third event C, Pr(A ∩ B|C) = Pr(A|C)Pr(B|C) even though Pr(A ∩ B) ≠ Pr(A)Pr(B) ? Why or why not?
