Question - Discuss the application of GWAS to the assessment of drug efficacy and adverse drug reactions.
Your essay should review this so-called field of pharmacogenomics, including a discussion of the barriers and prospects of introducing genetic tests to predict drug responses into clinical practice. Below are a couple of reviews you may find useful [1, 2]. You are advised to search for other modern reviews. However, as well as an overview, you should also choose an example to examine in more depth including material from the primary research literature.

Assessment will be based upon the literature assessment (25%), which will be marked by a module lecturer, with moderation by another member of staff.
