A typical 50,000 watt AM broadcast transmitter will generally have severallow power audio amplifier stages, a high power (~25,000 watt) audiooutput stage to generate the audio power that modulates the RFcarrier, low power RF stages to generate the carrier signal, and avery high power RF amplifier to generate the unmodulated RFcarrier.
