Brene Brown's Ted Talk is great. She talks about vulnerability. It has a lot of views, so we know it's good because alot of people have viewed it. When something is popular, I think its better because alot of people can't be wrong all the time. She made more talks about this and has a couple books out.
One book, The Gifts of Imperfection, was really good. Her main point is that perfectionism--the drive to get things exactly right all the time--makes us unhappy. It actually leads away from vulnerability, too, since to be vulnerable means to wound and if you're pefect all the time, you can't get hurt!! So really, we need to be a bit imperfect. We need to remind ourselves that we're human. And when someone comes along to help us, it is not a bad thing. It is working together, sharing in vulnerability.
After all, when someome recognizes your mistakes, it often means they've been there before. They have learned from there past and are now going to help you. So that is good!! In conclusion, Brene Brown is great.
