Online Exhibit Assignment
You have had you look at several online exhibits from museums and libraries, in addition to articles by scholars on the web, to learn about various aspects of World History. For this assignment, I'd like you to find an online exhibit from a museum or library that was not assigned in the supplementary materials.
Please give a full description of the exhibit: title, host institution, web site, layout, topics covered, etc. In addition, tell me how this exhibit contributes to your understanding of the topic that it covers (i.e., what did you learn and why is it useful).
Be specific - talk about specific artifacts in the exhibit. You are not required to use secondary sources, but you may find it helpful to look at art history books or other secondary works. If you do, please cite them using Chicago style.
Your paper should be 3-4 pages long, and can be on any topic that we have covered this semester (World History 1500-present).
Note that the exhibit you choose should be from a legitimate museum or library (like the 'On Time' exhibit from the Museum of American History, although note that since that exhibit was assigned for the course you cannot do it). Internet sites not associated with museums or libraries are not acceptable.
