Assignment:
You see rhetoric (ethos, pathos, logos) every day!
I was thinking today about the ways ethos-pathos-logos show up in modern society. I was curious if you all can think of any commercials or advertisements that use ethos-pathos-logos (or one of those rhetorical tools) effectively. For instance, the truck commercials that use ethos (credibility) when they depict a construction worker testimony and logos (logic) when they say something like "50 times the torque of the Ford 450." They also use pathos, when they appeal to the audience emotions by making everything very manly (after all, men buy trucks). What are some examples in commercials you have seen?
