There are many modalities for storing information such as data marts, data warehouses and tertiary storage making security a concern for information system managers.
The collection of data and the sources used for collection is often a concern because of privacy, legal and ethical issues.
Social networks, medical records and legal documents have become quite controversial as related to data collection not only for individuals, but for information systems managers because of the potential misuse and/or possible abuse.
