Question: In a poll reported in Newsweek (16 May 1994, p. 23) one of the questions asked was, "Is the media paying too much attention to [President] Clinton's private life, too little, or about the right amount of attention?" Results showed that 59% answered "too much," 5% answered "too little," and 31% answered "right amount." The article also reported that the poll was based on 518 adults and that the margin of error was 5%.

a. Using the margin of error reported in the article, find a 95% confidence interval for the proportion of all adults who thought at the time that the media was paying too much attention.

b. Based on the result in part a, could you conclude that a majority of adults at the time thought the media was paying too much attention to Clinton's private life? Explain.
