Reading is on the TCP/IP suite, covering IPv4 and v6, subnetting, protocols and the OSI Layer. Answer the following discussion points,

Question 1: Research some of the changes between IPv4 and IPv6, and report on some of the reasons for the changes. For example, why were some IPv4 features moved into the optional IPv6 extension headers? What benefit does this move provide for routers?

Question 2: What types of traffic might benefit from multicast transmission on a large scale, and why? For example, some Internet TV providers use multicast to service multiple subscribers at a time.

Question 3: Given the vast number of IPv6 addresses, consider how additional addresses might be used in the future. What devices or home appliances do you believe might eventually be assigned an IPv6 address?
