"Justice" is related to rights and interests.
Justice and law are not the same concepts, and, indeed, can produce different results.
Ideally, laws and processes should be fair (treat everyone the same way).
Equality refers to a distribution of resources to all equally, regardless of merit or need.
Impartiality means behaving without giving special consideration to any group or person.

In this chapter we learned about the concept of justice as the overall theme. Some of the concepts that were presented in the discussion of justice include: "Distributive Justice," "Restorative Justice," and "Civil Disobedience."

Provide an example of the following for your weekly assignment which consists of a one-two page, single-spaced paper.

Locate a landmark affirmative action case from either a federal or state court of last resort. Explain the ruling and then identify and discuss the type of justice the decision represents. (HINT: There was a case recently in the United States Supreme Court about a Texas Law Student Applicant).
