1) The sociological perspective wouldn't have come into being had it not been for the passage of three revolutions: scientific revolution, democratic revolution, and industrial revolution. Summarize what you learn from the chapter (and module if helpful) the imprint these 3 revolutions had on the rise of sociology as a discipline. 2) Summarize what you learn from the textbook about Durkheim's sociological theory of suicide (note: make sure to include what you learn about the relationship between the level of social solidarity/social integration of the group categories we fall into and suicide risk, key findings, how Durkheim's thesis explains why dying by suicide is the 2nd cause of death for youths in North America or the gender gap in suicide in almost all countries, as well as the 3 different types of suicide identified (egoistic suicide, anomic suicide, and altruistic suicide).
