Question: Planning is a process of orderly steps that prevent problems. Many new supervisors often find themselves having difficulties in meetings, when conducting interviews, making decisions, preparing budgets, or formulating policies because they neglect to plan for their actions. Without planning, one cannot perform those tasks effectively and efficiently. If we know that planning is so important, why do we so often rush directly into doing without pausing to plan? I also want you to discuss a time when you jumped right into action without planning. What were the results?
