1) Discuss a time in your life when your mobility was impaired or you experienced dealing with mobility issues with a family member or friend? (spent time on crutches, in a wheelchair, visual, auditory, manual dexterity, coping with aging, etc.) How did the built environment make dealing with an impairment easier or more frustrating? How did/does the experience involve receiving (or needing) unwanted help?
2) Read the attached article and follow up with your opinion about how you feel about school districts banning swing sets and other playground equipment. Relate back to your personal experiences of safety and the environment as a child.
