The XYZ company is an international hotel chain, they have hotels reaching over 50 branches worldwide. The hotels have different types of rooms, and different spa packages. The hotel chain spends millions of pounds per year on running the hotels, a large sum of this is spent annually on the IT staff, applications licensing, hardware, and service costs. The hotel chains use different software and applications such as payroll program, leased customer relationship management (CRM) systems, legacy databases, booking system.

Currently the hotel has an outdated booking system, as the system only shows if there is a room available at the specified location and date provided by the customer. This has caused a huge inconvenience for both customers and employees, as they would have to enter one date and one location at a time which can be time consuming. In order to solve this, the hotel chains have offered you a temporary job, and they could consider you for a permanent job if you demonstrate a great network design practice.
