The system function of a discrete-time system is
(a) Assume that this discrete-time filter was designed by the impulse invariance method with Td = 2; i.e., h[n] = 2hc(2n), where hc(t) is real. Find the system function Hc(s) of a continuous-time filter that could have been the basis for the design. Is your answer unique? If not, find another system function Hc(s).
(b) Assume that H (z) was obtained by the bilinear transform method with Td = 2. Find the system function Hc(s) that could have been the basis for the design. Is your answer unique? If not, find another Hc(s).
Flux weakening causes problems in both generators and motors. In generators, the effect of flux weakening is simply to reduce the voltage supplied by the generator for any given load. In motors, the effect can be more serious.
Construct the RC differentiator. Set the channel 1 input coupling switch to dc. Next adjust the dc offset, amplitude, and frequency controls of the function generator to produce the input waveform.
In order to measure the heart rate of the patient, you acquire 8000 datapoints at the Nyquist sampling interval. What is the spectral resolution of the frequency spectrum resulting from these data?
show that the resistivity of intrinsic Ge at 300k is 44.44 ohm-cm. If donor impurity is added to an extent of 1 atom per 10^8 Ge atoms, prove that the resistivity of the Ge sample drops to 4.42 ohm-cm (at 300k).
Using the combinational circuit design procedure discussed in the notes design, simplify and draw a combinational circuit that accepts a 3-bit number and generates a 6-bit number output equal to the square of the input number
Apply the IDWT to determine the 2D data.
The system phase margin frequency is given as ω1 =1.7 radsec-1 and the required phase angle is 50°. Obtain the respective values of the PID controller.
1 please explain the relation between laplace and fourier transform similarities and differences with an example?2
Which of the components form the low pass filter? Which form the high pass filter? Compute the resistances needed to achieve the desired break frequencies, making the approximation that the left-hand circuit has an open-circuit load.
Consider the parallel inductors shown in Figure P3.61, with mutual coupling and the dots at the top ends of L1 and L2. Derive an expression for the equivalent inductance seen by the source in terms of L1, L2, and M.
Find the transformation ratio of a transformer having 350 turns on the secondary winding and 7000 turns on the primary. What voltage must be applied to the primary of the transformer to develop an open-circuit secondary voltage
Given that the motor of Problem 16.1.11 has a full-load slip of 0.05, compute the motor speed corresponding to rated torque and a frequency of 30 Hz.
