Question

You have discovered two novel human gene mutations. The first mutation (ISBAD1) I ONT (S causes all of the glial progenitor cells in the CNS to make only astrocytes during i agob development. The second mutation (/SALSOBAD) is in a promoter region that causes a 50% reduction in the number of glial cells only in the PNS. Describe the cellular and likely functional consequences of each mutation.
