This early 2000''s series is a remake of a 1970''s sci-fi show. The background is as follows:
Technologically advanced Humans created these robots like machines (Cylons) to perform their manual labor, until
The machines evolved and rose up against their human masters
They fought a bitter war that ended with the disappearance of the Cylons with a cessation of hostilities for several decades
Then after about 40 years of peace between Cylons and Humans -- the Cylons reappear and launch a sneak attack on the 12 colonies of humans (on 12 separate planets) -- all but obliterating humanity. We learn later that the Cylons attack because they believe the one true God has told them to do so. The humans in this story believe in multiple gods such a Zeus.
Of the billions of humans only 50, 000 humans are left on a few hundred civilian starships protected by one huge, yet very old warship the Battlestar: Galactica - the human survivors are now on the run from the pursuing Cylon fleets
The humans soon learn that the leaders of the Cylons look like humans now - they are all but indistinguishable from humans - If they find one and kill it, it is simply resurrected at another location into a new identical body with all their memories thanks to a resurrection technology
The humans learn that there are thousands of skin-jobs (Humanoid Cylons) but only 12 models -- so if they see someone''s twin - it may be one of the models of human-Cylons
Some Cylons have been put into the human fleet secretly - not even knowing there are Cylons to operate on the behave of the Cylons
The video clip involves the pilot a Cylon that fell in love with a human and had a child with him. This Cylon now fights with the humans against the Cylons - there is great mistrust in her by some of the human crew.
