Praxis is a large, international management consultancy firm. The company was founded in London, UK, in 1976, and has since expanded its operations to encompass sixteen regional offices across four continents, although the majority of the company's offices are presently situated in Europe and North America. 

The soon-to-be-launched Singapore office will be the first in South-East Asia and is intended to be the future base of operations for the entire region. The establishment of the new office requires a major hiring effort, and the company's top management intend to recruit heavily from Singapore's population of new and recent graduates. Praxis has established a major presence at career fairs held by local universities and will use assessment centres to assess large groups of candidates. 

  1. Distinguish three (3) types of assessments that Praxis' candidates are likely to complete while attending the assessment centre and describe how scores from these various components are typically combined. 
  2. Praxis intends to fly in managers from both the London and Hong Kong offices to act as assessors in these assessment centres. Analyse the three (3) different functions they may perform in this role. 
  3. Describe one (1) advantage and one (1) disadvantage of utilising assessment centres.
