At the tie she was hired, Harrison weighed more than 400 pounds. On September 6, 2007, Harrison was terminated from her position at Family House. At the time of her termination, she weighed 527 pounds. On October 17, 2007, Harrison filed a charge of discrimination with the EEOC, alleging that she had been terminated because the defendant regarded her as disabled due to her obesity.
