?Start with a eukaryotic cell that has a diploid number of chromosomes (2n = 4).  Begin by showing the cell in interphase. Then diagram the process of meiosis clearly showing the segregation and independent assortment of alleles for two different traits (A and a for one trait and Band b for the other trait and not linked on the same chromosome). Just a hint: it works better if the traits are heterozygous. You will need to show the alleles on the chromosomes and illustrate what happens to the alleles as meiosis progresses. Make your diagram neat and label the major phases and events that are important.
