Question- The dilution value for a buffer is the change in pH upon dilution with an equal volume of pure water. The dilution value is positive when the pH increases with dilution and negative when it decreases. The two-fold dilution of HCl (initial concentration of Ci) would result in a pH shift of 0.3 units.

Is there the same relationship between the dilution factors of acetate and phosphate as there is with HCl? Why or why not?
