Every company today is in some phase of Digital Transformation. CIOs have indicated in several surveys that this is the number one issue on their agenda. In conjunction with this digital transformation is the current focus on how work will get done in companies after COVID. Many employees want to remain remote workers. Some feel their teams need some face-to-face time. Hybrid work is a term that has surfaced as the new normal for many companies (some employees in the office and others remote).

As the CIO of a major Fortune 500 company that has global operations, you have been asked to lead the effort in your company for the return of the workforce after COVID. How will you (as CIO) approach this task? What will you recommend to the C-Suite in a meeting coming up in about a month? You can state any assumptions you want to make. Just provide your thoughts and a plan of action for tackling this assignment. Include in this plan the digital technologies you will recommend in this new work environment. Should you standardize or be more open? (for example, use Zoom as the standard across countries or allow for a mix.)
