Digital Marketing Fundamentals introduces you to concepts, such as, branding, audience and demographics, budgeting, and more. To gain a more in-depth understanding of the ideas presented, you will be asked to create your own fictitious company. As you proceed through the course material, you can develop your company further, expanding on various aspects of it.

• Your company must be a small business that sells products and/or services to the public. Your company can be online only or have a physical retail location. However, your business will need to have a digital presence.
• Some of the assignments you complete and submit throughout the course are components that you will include in your final project document. Ensure you look through the examples of brand style guides listed in Session 1 so that you understand what a professionally laid out project could look like.
• Please be sure to include the following, at a minimum, in your project

(if you feel there are other elements you would like to include that represent your brand, please do so!):

• Your company name and your name (and student number) on a title page
• An introductory paragraph outlining your company/brand, use the content writing style you would like the brand to have (ex. what you would include on your website, in marketing campaigns, on social media etc.)
• A company logo and any relevant variations of that logo
• Colour scheme  
• Font/typeface selection, where each would be used, and sizing
• Company goals
• Target audience/demographic/psychographics
• Social media campaign plan
• Email marketing plan & newsletter branding
• Keywords (including long tailed keywords) to utilize
• Products offered by your company with descriptions (identify what keywords you'd use in your product descriptions)
• Images/visuals that will be used on your website, in your social media campaigns, and in your marketing materials
• General look for advertising
