Question: You are a biologist on a quest to document a digital collection of living organisms. Using your iPad, smartphone, or digital camera, collect a representative organism for 10 of the taxonomical classifications listed in Table. You may have multiple specimens from one classification as long as they are unique. (For example, you may have photographs of 3 different insects).
Compile your 10 photographs from at least three different kingdoms in one Power Point file. Research the classification of your organisms using the common name. Wikipedia is a good source to find the complete classification. Label each photograph with the classification taxa provided on the Table 1 and add the common name. ONLY USE THE TAXA LISTED ON THE PROVIDED TABLE. Note: some organisms include the Class taxa and some do not. You do not need to add any additional taxa, do not go beyond the Class.
Photographs must be original, live organisms, not from the internet. To prove they are original, photograph your organisms with a label in the background. Have fun studying biology outside of the lab. Visit your local parks, aquariums, zoos, etc.
Refer to the Grading Rubric for specific details and to earn your highest score. Submit one complete document.
Page 2 shows the Classification Taxa Table. This is for your information only. It will help you identify the different organisms.
