Differentiate these two transporters on the basis of whether glucose moves down or against a concentration gradient.

GLUT allows glucose to move DOWN its concentration gradient, and SGLT pushes glucose AGAINST its concentration gradient.

What drives the movement of glucose for each transporter?

Random kinetic movement allow glucose to diffuse through GLUT, while SGLT is powered by the
concentration gradient of sodium ions.

Which one uses ATP?

NEITHER directly uses ATP! SGLT is secondary active transport.
