Differentiate between orientation, training and development. State what these three HR functions have in common.

An organization is considering an orientation for their new employees; however, such programs are costly in terms of both time and resources. What would you say to convince the management that an orientation program is worth the investment?

Organizations that invest in training can spend considerable resources on such programs. Despite this, however, many companies may fail to evaluate the effectiveness of their training initiatives. Describe in detail four ways in which organizations can determine whether or not a training program has been effective.

Explain how mentorship programs can either help reduce or create systemic barriers in organizations.
