Ken is 35 years old and has been homeless for the past 5 years. He presents complaining of flu-like symptoms and abdominal pain. He has multiple tattoos and piercings and admits to IV drug use and unprotected sexual behavior with multiple partners. Blood tests reveal that Ken's liver enzymes are elevated. The advanced practice nurse suspects some type of hepatitis.
