Description

This assignment has the purpose of assessing and evaluating knowledge of the key topics and challenges in the healthcare data analytics field, and to aid learning by topic through the practical application of analytic tools to real world datasets.

The assessment has two parts: first, multiple choice questions based on week 1 lecture and readings (see Canvas site Quiz section to complete this part). Second, a practical application of the contents learnt in week 2 and 3, using coding and analysis to extract value from datasets.

Application

Using one the datasets available in the Canvas site (those presented in class so far) or based on the sources of those datas (you can create your own simple dataset using the OECD data for example), elaborate 4 questions that you can then provide answers to using the data.

Elaborate the code and show the outcome (answer) to your question in either table format or graph (must have at least 1 table and 1 graph). Then, provide a brief interpretation of the results obtained.

Do not use one of the same examples touch upon in class, it must be a different research question, utilizing the concepts, functions, and data, learnt in class. Please title and label your tables and graphs appropriately. Include a brief introduction and conclusion for your work.

You can present your work either in pdf using RMarkdown (see Week 2 videos for explanation on how to use this tool) or by exporting your tables and graphs to word. Please submit the data you used.
