Question

Back when we talked about klezmer music, we discussed the idea of authenticity, how it can be fluid, and how different people within a culture can have different opinions about what is traditional and authentic. Using two different cultures in your argument and providing specific examples, please share your opinion on how you know if a musical characteristic is authentic. You may use any culture we covered in this course or that another student presented on. It doesn't matter which way you argue. This is really just an opportunity for you to show what you've learned in the course.
