We normally think of the arts as very different from technologies in spite of the fact that every art (with perhaps few exceptions) is practiced with the help of a technology. This practice creates inter-dependence between technology and art. To what extent does an art respond to or is shaped by the technology that enables it? And to what extent do the artists contribute to the shaping and changing of the technologies involved in their art? Please answer in 160 words or less.
