Students are encouraged to take weekly notes In Week 1 -Week 6, to assist them in choosing what they would like to reflect on from classroom discussions. You must reflect on a minimum of 4 of the following reflection topics (200-250 words each). You must choose at least 1 topic from each section. For the 49' topic, you can choose another topic of your own choice as relevant to the content In Weeks 1-6.

• Reflection and analysis of the social determinants of health
• Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and the Implications for your role as a community worker

Section B: Reflections on welfare, power, disempowerme and equity
• The links between globalisatIon and community services work
• Reasons and examples of the relevance of the theories of Karl Marx and Max Weber In present day Australian society
• The implications of neoliberalism for the community services sector.
• Reflection on Australian society and inequality, and how this relates to community services work

Section C.: The purpose and nature of Australian community services work
• The various roles of community services workers, and your reflections on your own career path.
• Reflections and discussion on the main community sector agencies in Australia

Your essay should include at least 4 (scholarly) journal artides that you have read and at least two Taylor (2015) textbook references. Use APA 7 Referencing.
