Assignment:
I am stuck. I need help to understand what my professor wants and how to start. I need an example to understand.
Suppose you are interested in understanding the relationship between feelings of frustration and aggressive behavior. In your main discussion response, describe *two* different studies that you might want to use to explore this relationship, one correlational in nature and one experimental in nature.
Make sure to include the following components:
a) *Who* would participate in your study, or how would you collect data? Keep in mind that experiments often involve time-consuming procedures, so correlational studies often include a greater number of participants
b) *What* are your variables of interest, and what measures would you use? Remember that for the correlational study, you will need quantitative measures of all variables; for the experimental design, your independent variable will be manipulated, and your dependent variable will need quantitative operationalization.
c) *How* would you interpret the results? Remember that the numbers you obtain following the data collection need to be interpreted in the context of the original problem: What can you now say about the relationship between frustration and aggression? What limitations are there to your interpretations?
d) *Why* would you seek to conduct such a study in the context of personal experience or larger societal problems? What events in your life or those of others you know are relevant to this question? What changes in how you think, feel, and behave may result now that you've considered these issues?
