It has been said that the Great Depression and the Great Recession have many economic similarities. Additionally, many economists believe a recession will occur in the near future. Imagine you are a history teacher designing a lesson to teach college students to use historical economic events to predict future economic events. You decide to use the Great Depression and Great Recession to predict and address a possible future recession.

What are the economic similarities and differences between the Great Depression and Great Recession; policies implemented that were the most impactful to pull out; and how these may predict or avoid a future recession.
