Compare an Archaic kouros and kore, which will give you the opportunity to speak about the early development of the gendered dress code of Greek statues.

You may also compare the Doryphoros with a dressed female statue of the Classical period (not a kore of the Archaic period), for example the "Large Herculaneum Woman", to underline the continuation of the older standard dress code. In addition, you may want to compare the statues of a boy and a girl to indicate how they are also presented according to the standard gender constructs of the time that apply to adults.
