Differences between diversity management and affirmative action? From my personal experience, I think the differences lie in the scope of diversity management and affirmative action. Diversity is a more inclusive concept that includes people of various ages, races, gender, religion, or sexual preference. It uses those unique traits and interlaces them into the company's core values. " Whereas, diversity management does not only recognize but also discounts and harnesses workforce differences, such as individual characteristics, backgrounds, orientations, and religious beliefs, so that unique talents are being fully utilized and organizational goals are met (Shen et al., 2009).
