Home- vs cross-border takeovers: is there any difference in investor perception?

Research question

We are going to look at the share price reaction of 'acquiring' firms only (we are not looking at the share price of 'target' firms)
Is there is a difference in share price reaction between acquiring firms taking over a company from the same country as they're based in (home acquisition), compared to when they takeover a firm from a different country (cross-border acquisition)?
We are going to look at UK based acquiring firms. Half of the target firms will be UK-based, and half non-UK.
