The terms recruitment and selection are often used interchangeably and the process is not always sufficiently planned. Explain the difference between the terms recruitment and selection and explain the characteristics of a good recruitment and selection process.  Discuss at least 4 different selection methods and explain the factors to be considered when choosing selection methods.

The question is from Human Resource Management and it is about determining the terms recruitment and selection. Often these terms are used interchangeably and it isn't always so. While recruitment is calling up large pool of people, selection is the process of narrowing down the right candidates for job. It can be said that recruitment is the process prior to selection.
