Problem Seasonal ranges for brook trout were monitored on a stream outside College Station, Pennsylvania by biologists from the Pennsylvania Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit. Five trout monitored in the winter showed ranges of 8.0, 12.1, 8.1, 18.2, and 31.7. Four different trout monitored in the summer showed ranges of 102.0, 81.7, 54.7, and 50.7.

(a) Estimate the difference between the mean winter and summer ranges using a 95% confidence interval.
